Are you Aware of What’s Happening in Our Neighbourhood? Development along Yonge Street

With so much ongoing focus on our health and economy, many other issues have taken a back seat.  I would like to bring your attention to ALL the development projects being planned or underway in our community.  Yonge Street soon will be unrecognizable with no Mom and Pop stores, no sunshine and a wind tunnel as it is now downtown and at Yonge and Eglinton.  Yonge and St. Clair is NOT a growth area, but that is not stopping the developers.

This is the link to the Development Department in the city. http://app.toronto.ca/DevelopmentApplications/mapSearchSetup.do?action=init  In the drop down boxes, choose Toronto / East York, then type in the street name and click search. The projects will populate on the map.  Click each blue tack then on Supporting Documents then search for Architectural Details and click on download to “see” what has been planned.  Interestingly, the immense Whittington/Loblaws development at Yonge and Heath only populates when Heath is typed into the address box.  Let’s keep the pressure on the Ford Government to keep Midtown at Yonge and St. Clair a residential neighbourhood.
